You must remember how difficult it was to come into the adult world and make big decisions. Those who have to leave orphanages have even more difficulties because children without parents often lack simple skills and often become victims of their own fate. In order for the first step into the adult world to be confident, beautiful and comfortable, the Dara Foundation donated to the province's Orphanage # 1 10 (ten) pairs of men's and 76 (seventy six) pairs of women's shoes. Good luck!

The artists of the circus made a real holiday at the children's centre Dara! Clowns, other artists of the circus and their animals made it warm and joyful. The kids took an active part in all the tricks. The kids could not help laughing when watching what the little monkey was doing. In turn, the monkey walked on a small bridge and made various tricks. The kids applauded a lot and were pleased with such an unusual holiday. They all got presents, favourite chocolate and useful fruits (apples and bananas).

Every month real miracles happen at Balboulak. The kids recovering there are visited by the artists of the National Circus who give impressive performances. On 14th August, the kids were delighted with merry clowns and acrobats. However, the boys and the girls did not just watch. They took an active part in the performance. And when a young female acrobat started performing at the hall, the boys were watching her with admiration, and many girls said that they would love to become artists, too. The kids were most surprised and amazed by the clown who magically 'turned' regular paper into money. At the end of the show each kid had presents; some had apples and some had tasty oranges.

The new conference hall of the Rehabilitation Centre Balboulak was overcrowded. The kids took their places long in advance looking forward to seeing the artists of the National Circus. A clown, a juggler and prestidigitators made it unforgettably emotional for the kids. And in order for the kids to stay as joyful as possible, Dara presented the boys and the girls with a magic meccano, of which they could make beautiful small cars, comfortable armchairs, or funny giraffes. And can any holiday survive without sweets? Each kid got a chocolate egg. "Guess what surprise is in the kinder surprise egg?"

It often happens that a small thing or a barrier keeps you from fulfilling your dream. Lack of money to pay for transportation to the children's camp, located in Dzhamboul, kept the kids from the province's Orphanage #1 and the dedicated centre Zhanouya from fulfilling their dreams. The Dara Foundation paid for it and sixty boys and girls had a chance to spend a month in the summer camp.

To make the kids from the dedicated centre Zhanouya have nice memories, the top managers of the First President Foundation decided to present them with the following items: a video camera, a camera and a printer to print the pictures out. And the private foundation Dara decided to contribute by presenting a 2 Gb flash disk capable to store pictures, as well as useful and necessary data. The first pictures were taken in summer when the kids were on vacation.

On 20

Mr. Touimebayev said at the ceremony: "Donators-to-education - people with kind souls, loving hearts and open palms - do good things, for the sake of the future, help the country enhance the well-being of our people, create a world for children, demonstrating the generosity of their souls". Over thirty business people received the gold medals. Goulnara Dosayeva, the founder of the
Dara Foundation, was one of those. Since its establishment the foundation has arranged tens of events, tours, educational programmes for kids and held events for the orphans, attendees of boarding schools and little patients. The staff of the foundation hopes that the number of donating business people will increase in the future so that possible assistance is jointly rendered to the Kazakh education.

Kazakhstan neither produces nor sells small glass bottles for baby food. That became a real problem for Baby Orphanages ##2 and 3. Individual sponsors repeatedly presented colourful plastic bottles for baby food made abroad, but unfortunately they became unfit very fast while being expensive. The foundation offered the solution by ordering 1,680 (sixteen hundred eighty) glass bottles in Russia. The bottles are easy to wash and can be often sterilised in a dry roasting oven. Also it ordered several sets of baby's dummies. Actually the latter are quite available in the domestic market and are easy to buy. Therefore for the several years ahead the babies will be supplied with things they need.

On 1st June, the private foundation Dara in association with the Ayala Foundation arranged a holiday for 500 (five hundred) kids from orphanages they have been patronising. And on the Day of Children Protection the American International School, based in Kalkaman, provided for free a football playing field. The kids were entertained by the artists of the National Circus and by the Kazakh pop stars such as All Davai and FM band, and the show was presented by the well-known presenter Alexander Shoumsky. The students of KIMEP were also involved. They specially came there and tried their best to make the kids happy (they tattooed their faces and arms with funny tattoos and gave a master class on how to become real cheerleaders).
