In anticipation of the New Year our Foundation went to a specialized organization for children with behavioral problems in order to organize a New Year tea party.

The "Balbulak" Children's Rehabilitation centre treats child with cerebral palsy for a really long period of time. But despite serious illness, they want to have a happy childhood.

IX Congress of the European Association of Infant Neurologists (EPNS) was held in Tsavtat (Dubrovnik) in Croatia from 9 to 16 of May. The forum is held each two years and appears to be an important research and practical event for the infant neurologists.
“Clishnik” for the first time at Balbulak!
The Kazakhstan public has been lucky enough to be entertained by three state circuses for 50 years already! The oldest is in Almaty on Abai avenue, and since 1972 it has been the home of some wonderful shows!

We wanted to start with this riddle, since this time the clumsy bear became the children's favourite!
Donating talent to the delight of the children!
Each month through the "Mereke" project, State Circus performers come to visit sick children and donate their talent - in a literal sense! One of these performances was held in March this year.
Juggler Ivan Berestov performed his act for the children. The conjurer Sarsen Serikpaev not only amazed everyone with his sleight-of-hand, but also turned out to be quite a skilled dancer! The magician made an impromptu performance of the fiery Greek dance Tsirtaki. The illusionist turned a small piece of paper into a 500 tenge note!

According to statistics there are more than 44,000 handicapped children in Kazakhstan, of whom about 10,000 have been diagnosed with infantile cerebral paralysis. The children get the medical treatment they need at the Balbulak medical institute over a 26-day period.

What child does not love animals? And, of course, orphaned children, more than any other, are more than ready to love an animal that needs looking after! Foundation employees were pleasantly surprised when they heard how the children had looked after a sick and homeless dog.

According to medical statistics, cerebral palsy is the most common form of disability in children. Children diagnosed with the illness undergo nearly a month's treatment at the Balbulak medical institute, where specialists try their very hardest so that the boys and girls, despite their serious illnesses, still have a happy childhood, with toys and games!
